How to prepare the ferric oxide powder Fe3O4 nanopowder? Let's briefly introduce the manufacturing process, and you can also follow this method to make it.


Step 1: Measure 16 milliliters of ethylene glycol with a measuring cylinder and pour it into a beaker.


Step 2: Weigh 0.36 grams of hexahydrate ferric chloride using a balance and pour it into the beaker from step 1.


Step 3: Weigh 2.38 grams of the additive using a balance and pour it into the beaker from step 1.


Step 4: Weigh 0.36 grams of polyethylene glycol 20000 using a balance and pour it into the beaker from step 1.


Step 5: Stir the above mixture magnetically for 10 minutes.


Step 6: Pour the above mixture into a 50 milliliter capacity hydrothermal reactor and react at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 hours.


Step 7: After the reaction is complete, the hydrothermal reactor is naturally cooled to room temperature, and the reaction solution is taken out. The solid powder is collected by centrifugation, washed three times with deionized water and ethanol, and dried to obtain the solid powder, which is iron tetroxide.


The iron oxide synthesized by this method is spherical with a particle size of 200 nanometers. The overall length of the material looks like this:
